Open mind is not something seen much,
if at all, in classical academia. If
and when they get out in the world
they may or may not change their viewpoint.
But the "I had to learn this crap so you do too"
is pretty strong in the lower level Dupont teachers.
There's not much good reason for it. When quizzed
it seems the best they can come up with is
"Because that's the classical way".
