For the most part, that's the case. However, I have an old beat-up but
great sounding and playing Framus classical with a neck width of about
1.75", smaller than the 1.8" on my steel-stringed Seagull acoustic. It
helps that I have pretty skinny fingers; I don't see the narrower width
of the classical as a disadvantage to me when it comes to fingerpicking.
